Mindy

Damon Macready loved the character of Batman. It was after his favorite superhero that he became Big Daddy, a ruthless vigilante who didn't hesitate to clean up criminals. Hit-Girl's father had no superhuman abilities. He was just a little human. True, he was a good shot and handled a few bladed weapons well. He also had some hand-to-hand combat skills, which he taught to his daughter, Hit Girl.

Big Daddy used several types of firearms and knives during his expeditions. His mask hid his face, a long coat hid Kevlar armor. He looked like a bad parody of Batman, a carnival Batman. The mobsters laughed when they saw him arrive with the girl. They definitely weren't laughing anymore when a bullet had lodged in their brains.

Some said he was an ex-cop, that he'd thought he'd taken on the crime boss, John Genovese; that he'd tried to bring down Detective Gigante and all his corrupt colleagues. But this was New York. All he had gained was that his wife had been murdered. He had barely been able to save his daughter, Mindy Macready, who had become a Hit-Girl.

Others said that Damon was just a small-time accountant who was bored with his life. A big comic book fan, he had dropped everything to run away with his daughter and become a superhero. He deliberately attacked the Genovese clan.

This version does not seem to me to be the right one. I have not found any trace of a Damon Macready in the police force of that period. What is certain is that Big Daddy hated all the leftist doglit, Michael Moore, Democrats and all the degenerate vermin that are destroying America. I guess he thought he'd be doing the cops' job.

Finally, the one who suffered the most was the poor kid, Hit-Girl. Most of the time, she was the one who would go out and clean up on the beat. Big Daddy was more or less content to cover her, from a distance, with his sniper rifle. This kid committed more crimes in one year than most Afghanistan veterans do in years. She was traumatized, this kid. She would need medical attention.

When her father got whacked by Genovese, she went on a major mob slaughter to avenge her sire. She stayed with Kick-Ass for a while before going back to the West.

It was said that she wisely joined her mother. I don't think that's true. I heard of a girl, a junkie, who was settling her accounts quite violently in the Mission District, in San Francisco. I read that they found some guys who were beaten up pretty bad with swords. There's talk of a masked chick who's killing every son of a bitch in the area. There's work to be done... I think this poor girl really needs a good team of psychiatrists, but I don't think she's ready to see them yet.
